Hamilton Accies chairman Allan Maitland has confirmed that head of recruitment Keith Glendinning has left to join Ayr United.
Glendinning, who doubled as video analyst, will team up again with former Hibs sporting director Graeme Mathie, who is new managing director at Ayr.
Maitland says Hamilton's January signing targets have already been identified and that won't change with Glendinning's departure.
And while data analyst Aaaron Seery is already at the club and will take over that role, Maitland says the club will look at replacing Glendinning in January.
Maitland said: "Keith is leaving us, he's going to join Graeme Mathie, who he worked with at Hibs, and Graeme has just joined Ayr United. Keith is going to join at Ayr, and he goes with our best wishes.
"This is nothing to do with Hamilton Accies, he's going to join an old friend.
"Keith was great for us, we have no qualms about him whatsoever, he just wanted to link up with Graeme because he worked with him before.
"It's a change of a role, slightly, for him, and it's a good move for him."
Allan added: "Aaron Seery is our analyst, and we'll wait for the New Year, get Christmas out the way, and we'll re-evaluate and see where we are.
"As far as Keith is concerned we've already got our recruitment process targets done, so it's a question of whether we can get them in now.
"But the actual targets are not going to change, we've got that done through Keith already.
"We'll work on those targets and see how we go."
