Hamilton Accies' Josh Mullin cracker wins Championship goal of the month

Hamilton Accies star Josh Mullin's stunning strike in a win at Queen of the South has won the cinch Championship goal of the month award for January.

Stuart Taylor's side won 3-0 at Palmerston Park on January 2, with goals from David Moyo and Jamie Hamilton putting them 2-0, before Mullin sealed the win with a fantastic strike.

Several players were involved in the goal with intricate one-touch passes, before Mullin crisply finished into the net.

Supporters compared it to a sensational team goal that was scored by Rakish Bingham in a 3-1 win over Hibs at Easter Road in 2017.

Hamilton Accies announced the award win with a social media post that read "Now that's what you call a TEAM effort."

Mullin said: "I am delighted to receive this award, although part of me is a bit embarrassed, because it was a great team effort.

"All the guys involved had a huge part in it and I was pleased to do my bit and tuck the ball away."

Mullin beat Raith Rovers' Ethan Ross and St Mirren midfielder Jay Henderson to the award.
