Hamilton Accies confirm first-team coach's departure

Hamilton Accies first-team coach Guillaume Beuzelin has ended a near seven-year spell at the club, ahead of their Championship clash at Partick Thistle today.

Brought in to assist Martin Canning in 2015, the Frenchman also played for the club in 2009.

When Canning was sacked in January 2019, 42-year-old Beuzelin was caretaker and remained in position for Brian Rice's tenure.

Former Hibs and Coventry midfielder Beuzelin stayed on when Rice stepped down in August, with Stuart Taylor taking over.

A statement issued by Hamilton Accies today read: "The club wishes to confirm that first-team coach Guillaume Beuzelin has moved on by mutual consent after almost seven years with us.

"‘Beuzy’ also played for us in 2009 before returning to the coaching staff in January 2015.

"We thank Guillaume for his time and many efforts here, where he also worked heavily with the u18s.

"We wish him well in the future as he seeks to progress his career."
