Hamilton Accies confirm Albion Rovers stream blackout - but live audio offered to fans

Hamilton Accies have confirmed their Lanarkshire derby with Albion Rovers in Betfred Cup will not be streamed live on Saturday.

The Premiership side confirmed to Lanarkshire Live Sport that the clash would not be financially viable to produce.

However, they will be offering live audio for fans to follow the clash at New Douglas Park, with Accies TV presenter Marcus Nash providing commentary.

And a free highlights package via AcciesTV will also be put out post-match, as all games are filmed for video analysis purposes.

If fans wish to listen to the action live, they will need to subscribe to AcciesTV for £5.99.

It's at least some good news for fans, who feared they wouldn't be able to take in a vital clash in Accies hopes of progressing from Group F.

They are currently fourth in the five-team section after two games.

Earlier today, Stranraer announced they would be streaming Hamilton's visit to Stair Park tomorrow night, which Accies will need to win to boost their hopes of progressing in the competition.
