Hamilton Accies boss provides Marley Redfern update after injury in Partick draw

Hamilton Accies are sweating on the fitness of Marley Redfern after the attacking midfielder was forced off in their draw with Partick.

The 19-year-old went down clutching his hamstring and had to be replaced by Reegan Mimnaugh early in the second half.

His absence would be a big blow after an impressive start to the season and boss Stuart Taylor has revealed he's not sure of the extent of the youngster's injury.

After the 2-2 draw with Partick, Taylor said: "We'll need to see how he is in the morning and we'll probably get a scan done on him in a couple of days' time.

"He's been excellent for us all season so it was a real disappointment that he had to come off.

"We'll see how he is when the scan results come back."

Meanwhile, Accies remain in the hunt for new additions to the squad as Taylor revealed they missed out a target earlier in the week.

Asked if he was expecting any new signings, Taylor said: "We've got a couple of targets in front of us.

"We lost out on one during the week, but that's football.

"Until someone puts pens to paper we will just keep making sure we are working hard to improve what we've got at the moment."
