Hamilton Accies midfielder Lewis Spence will today undergo a scan on a knee injury he sustained during the 0-0 draw against Dunfermline on Saturday, with boss Stuart Taylor hoping for good news.
The Accies head coach hinted that the 25-year-old may be out for a while, but says he hopes not - for the player's sake - ahead of how it might impact on the team.
But Taylor also said striker David Moyo is back in contention for Saturday's visit by Inverness, and hopes that helps provide more of a threat up front.
Taylor said: "Lewis Spence is struggling with his knee, so we'll get him scanned today. We're just waiting on some of the swelling coming down.
"He's a very good player and he suits what we're trying to do, in terms of his injury levels.

"Lewis is comfortable on the ball and he will be a big loss, but, for him as an individual, we're hopeful that it's not too serious.
"But for the club as well, we're hoping he will be back soon."
On Moyo, Taylor said: "Moyo will be back in contention, and everybody else is just as they have been.

"Every player that comes back - defenders, midfielders, forwards - it's always great to have that competition for places, which we've been speaking about over the last couple of weeks.
"David coming back into contention gives us a different option and it gives us another body as well, so it's good."
