Hamilton Accies boss Stuart Taylor insists his side were worth more than a point against Ayr United at Somerset Park.
Lewis Smith's first-half opener was cancelled out by Tomi Adeloye's header three minutes into the second half.
The Honest Men had chances to take the win late on, but Taylor still says his side should have moved five points clear of their hosts.
He said: "I thought we did enough to go and get the three points.
"It was a hard-fought game, we knew it was going to be a battle, and the way the goal came about, it was a ball in the box, David Moyo does great, and Smithy's on it for the second ball.
"It was always going to be a scrappy game.

"I was delighted to get the goal, really happy with the way we went about it and we were comfortable throughout the game, but really disappointed with how we lost the goal.
"I think it comes about with Mihai Popescu trying to get a second ball off the pitch, so he's chasing about while the ball has been played on, so there are two ball on the pitch and Pops goes and kicks that one off.
"That affects how our defensive shape is because Brian Easton drops off because Pops is playing everyone onside, so when he comes back up we don't stop the cross coming into the box or pick up inside the box.
"It was a little bit all over the place, and a bit of a mess, and we need to defend better when it goes into wider areas.
"I thought we did enough in the game to go and win it, but the response was better today than it has been when I first came in.
"We tried to get the ball down and play but it was never going to be that type of game. We tried to adapt, tried another way, created chances, but didn't hit the target enough or turn those opportunities into goals."
