Hamilton Accies boss Stuart Taylor has thanked supporters for their backing in today's win over Queen of the South - as he revealed the club are still working on bringing in new faces before Tuesday's transfer deadline.
The Accies' faithful got their first glimpse of new signing Luke Matheson, who joined on a season-long loan from Wolves on Friday, and already he looks like an impressive acquisition by Taylor, who was part of Paul Lambert's backroom team at Molineux in 2016.
Supporters are desperate for more fresh faces and as he praised their back in the 2-1 win at Palmerston, Taylor revealed the club are hoping to pull another couple of signings off before the window slams shut at midnight on Tuesday.
He said: "There's a couple of wee things bubbling away that hopefully will come off.
"If it doesn't come off then so be it, we'll just need to forget about it and move on.
"We've got the next transfer window coming up in January, we've got the one after that at the end of the season.
"But we are trying our very hardest."
The Accies players celebrated both of their goals with the fans in Dumfries and applauded them at the final whistle as well.
And Taylor added: "The supporters were brilliant.
"I said to them to just enjoy the game, get behind the team, be as supportive as you possibly can, give them loads of encouragement.
"And they got their rewards today as well.
"I think the appreciation from the players in going to celebrate the two goals with them and then at the end of the game go to see the supporters - who have travelled a long way - showed they appreciated that support and passion.
"I'm delighted for the supporters and the players that we got the result."
