Hamilton Accies boss Brian Rice up on SFA rap for referees rant

Hamilton Accies have confirmed they have received a notice of complaint from the Scottish FA compliance officer following boss Brian Rice's rant after his side's 3-0 Scottish Cup defeat to St Mirren on Saturday, April 3.

Rice complained about not getting decisions in games, and revealed that he had called head of referee operations Crawford Allan to discuss the situation.

During a stormy after-match press conference Rice said: "We're getting absolutely nothing. Absolutely nothing.

"And I'm fed up phoning Crawford Allan and being f****** shoved to the side because we're only Hamilton.

"That's what's happening. I've phoned Crawford Allan three times in 40 years. I just get shoved to the side, 'ah it's only Hamilton'."

His hearing will be on April 29.

Should he be found guilty, Rice is likely to face at least a two-game ban.

In a statement issued today the club says they will defend his case.
