Hamilton Academical boss Brian Rice expressed his delight at finally securing the services of Bruce Anderson on-loan from Aberdeen.
The 57 year-old has been a long-term admirer of the striker and Rice revealed that he attempted to add Anderson during the summer window.

However, the Banff born striker had already agreed terms with Ayr United but Rice is thrilled to finally get his man until the end of the season.
He said: “I’m delighted to get Bruce in. I tried to get him in the last transfer window but I just missed out as he’d already left.
“I kept in touch with the Aberdeen lads about him and I went to them again when this window opened up.
"At that stage, he’d just returned from his other loan and they wanted him in the building because they had a few injuries so they wanted him as part of the squad.
“It went right up to the last minute because Aberdeen had to bring a few players in so they could let a few go out. I’m grateful to Aberdeen for allowing us to do that.

“We’ve had chances, but not as many as we’d have liked, so we hope Bruce can get on the end of them. We want him to score a few goals to help himself and to help us."
Anderson spent the first half of the season out on-loan at Ayr in the Championship but despite making an impressive start, he struggled to find the net as the season progressed.
The 22 year-old has a prolific record at development level with Aberdeen and Rice believes the goalscorer provides a different type of option to David Moyo and Marios Ogkmpoe.

Rice said: “He’s different physically and he’s got different aspects to his game to David and Marios. We know that he can score goals and I know a lot about him.
“He will add to the squad and give us something different. I hope he can get a goal early on to settle him down because he’s hungry to do well.
“I had a good chat with him before we signed him and I explained the circumstances he’s up against here at Hamilton - what we are up against every week. He’s definitely up for the fight.”
