Halsey fans were treated to two music videos Friday.
The Grammy Award nominee shared two cuts from her upcoming “Manic” (Capital Records) album due Jan. 17, 2020.
At midnight, the 25-year-old artist released “SUGA’s Interlude,” which featured BTS’ Suga (real name Min Yoongi). “SUGA’s Interlude” features the BTS member rapping in Korean while Halsey sings an emotional song. This isn’t the first time Halsey collaborated with BTS. The two teamed up on a song earlier this year, called “Boy With Luv.”
“I been trying all my life/ To separate the time/ In between the having it all/ And giving it up, yeah,” she croons.
Halsey dropped the audio for the song on YouTube along a backdrop of kid-like scribbles.
At the same time, she also dropped “Finally // beautiful stranger” along with its music video. But it was the BTS collaboration that had fans on social media sharing their praise.
Some fans appreciated that Suga was able to rap in Korean on Halsey’s track.
“I also want to thank @halsey for letting Yoongi create this song and rap in korean on it. She put her trust in him, and mind that this album is very personal and important for her and it’s really heart warming seeing they together made this masterpiece. On repeat #SUGAsInterlude,” wrote @yoongispuppy.
