Anticipation is building for the next Halo game, Halo Infinite, and a new video from the series' official Twitter account suggests an antagonistic group called The Banished will be making an appearance.
This reveal comes weeks before Microsoft is expected to show off first-party gameplay on the Xbox Series X in it's Xbox 20/20 showcase.
In the ominous video, which lasts for about one minute, we hear an audio log of a sinister voice suggesting that "humanity will burn" and ending with "we are The Banished".
For those unaware, The Banished are a group of alien mercenaries who broke away from the wider Covenant alien front and first appeared in Halo Wars 2.
It remains unclear if The Banished are being set up to be the main antagonistic group in Halo Infinite or if they will just feature in it in some way.
We can expect more Halo Infinite news in July, as we draw ever closer to the big Xbox 20/20 gameplay reveal, which promises to show us much more than the somewhat disappointing previous Xbox Series X third-party event.
Halo Infinite was first officially shown last year at E3 and it will continue the Halo 5: Guardians storyline, taking the franchise forward. It will utilise a brand new engine designed for PC and the Xbox Series X.
An exact date for Xbox 20/20 first-party gameplay event is yet to be set in stone.
