"Halo" has long been recognized as one of the pioneers of modern esports, debuting more than two decades ago with "Halo: Combat Evolved." Now, the legendary franchise joins forces with "Helldivers 2" in a unique crossover in two universes.
With the release of the Xbox Series X|S edition, gamers can unlock the "Halo" x "Helldivers 2" Legendary Warbond Set, full of cosmetics and legendary weapons based on Halo's heritage.

'Halo' x 'Helldivers 2' Crossover Announcement
On Aug. 19, developers announced the crossover to commemorate "Helldivers 2's" Xbox Series X|S launch. The trailer introduced a heart-pumping showcase of Halo-themed cosmetics, armor, and weapons via a Legendary Warbond.
The crossover brings "Halo's" iconic sci-fi militaristic look and feel together with Helldivers 2's shooter gameplay, making fans of both series ecstatic.
What's in the Legendary Warbond Set?
The "Halo" x "Helldivers 2" Legendary Warbond has a range of collectibles, allowing players to express their inner ODST trooper. Collectibles include:
- Weapons: MA5C Assault Rifle, M7S SMG, M90A Shotgun, M6C/SOCOM Pistol
- Armor Sets: A-9 Helljumper Armor, A-35 Recon Armor, Feet First Passive Armor
- Capes: Honored Heirloom Cape, Eye of the Clandestine Cape
- Extras: ODST Player Cards, "Rookie" Title, Mean Green Vehicle Pattern
With this roster, players can take to the battlefield armed with "Halo's" most recognizable equipment, reworked for the "Helldivers 2" universe.
Is 'Halo' x 'Helldivers' Set Coming Soon To You?
According to Sports Illustrated, the set officially arrives on Tuesday, Aug. 26. This coincides with the Xbox Series X|S launch. The update launches globally at the same time:
- Eastern Time (ET): 8 AM
- Pacific Time (PT): 5 AM
- British Standard Time (BST): 1 PM
- Central European Time (CEST): 2 PM
How to Unlock the Halo Legendary Warbond
Players can buy the set at the in-game Acquisitions Center. Similar to other Warbonds, it is a battle pass system. Once bought, players can level up tiers by accumulating XP in-game. A plus point is that Warbonds never end. Meaning there's no need to rush. You can do things leisurely and finish your Halo-inspired collection.
Is the Legendary Warbond Set Expensive?
The "Halo" x "Helldivers 2" Legendary Warbond has a price tag of 1,500 Super Credits. The credits can be earned in-game or bought individually through the in-game shop using real money.
