Halloween prankster divides opinion with sweet trick as he is branded 'evil' and 'legend'

A prankster has divided opinion with his plan to hand out Brussels sprouts disguised as chocolates to trick-or-treaters on Halloween.

The man decided against distributing the usual array of sweets to youngsters knocking at his door.

Instead he has created “golden balls of disappointment” to remain undetected until unsuspecting children get home to tuck into their haul.

The man shared his “evil” idea on the Casual UK forum on Reddit, where he posted a picture of himself wrapping raw Brussels sprouts in the golden foil of a Ferrero Rocher.

He plans to slip the foil-wrapped vegetable into the brown paper cup that the chocolate would’ve been presented in, leaving the poor souls visiting his house on Monday none the wiser.

The man captioned his image: “Preparing the Golden Balls of Disappointment for Halloween.”

Readers were torn over the man’s plan, with some saying there was “a special place in hell” for him. Others said he was a “legend” and gave him tips on how to take the joke even further.

One said: “That’s a lot of prep just to be an a***hole.”

Another wrote: “There is a special place in hell for people like you.”

A third added: “That’s just mean. What an a** hat.”

But someone else stuck up for the anonymous poster, stating: “Legend!”

They were backed up by another who commented: “Evil, but very funny.”

Someone else suggested: “You need to dip them in chocolate for the full effect.”
