Halloween Monster Mash thrills young and old

Thousands of families gathered in Belfast tonight at the annual Halloween Monster Mash.

Hosted by Belfast City Council , young and old dusted off their capes, dressed up in their scariest costumes and enjoyed a spooktacular evening with an enthralling entertainment line-up.

Incorporating aspects of both Diwali and Day of the Dead the creepy street theatre, hauntingly good live music, wicked workshops and more, The Slipways were lit up in an array of colour on Sunday at the free family event.

The night ended with the bangs and sparkles of a colourful 15 minute long firework display as crowds looked on across the waterfront.

Take a flick through the gallery below and see if you can spot any familiar faces.
