Halloween lovers invited to sleep in coffin and summon 'evil spirits'

Halloween fans looking for a evening full of frights are being offered the chance to spend the night inside a torture chamber - which comes complete with a coffin bed.

Guests at The Edinburgh Dungeon will start off their spooky experience with a complimentary dinner at the Hard Rock Café, before joining the last tour of the day before the séance sleepover begins.

There is also be the opportunity to watch The White Lady – Bloody Revenge ghost show, which tells the story of the vengeful 17th century Scottish murderess, Lady Christian Nimmo, reports Edinburgh Live.

Then, it’s time for the real fun to start when the séance begins.

Scary fun is promised during the evening (Edinburgh Dungeons)

Guided by a professional medium using a Ouija board, guests will summon spirits lurking in Edinburgh Dungeons.

After trying to converse with spirits, you will be taken to the Torture Chamber to rest in peace in  a custom-built coffin, which comes complete with your own skeleton pyjamas and slippers.

When you wake (if you've slept) there is a complimentary breakfast waiting for you at Motel One Hotel.

The experience is exclusively available to book on Booking.com  from Friday 25 October here .

The séance sleepover is priced at £66.60 for a one night stay for two people on 31 October.
