Halloween after-dark walking tour takes a step into Glasgow's shadows

A tour that will shock even the most hardened Glaswegians is making a popular return this Halloween.

A city well-known for its dark side, Glasgow has a lot of secrets. Built by industry and its working class, the city has always been infamous for its drugs and gangs.

The tour will take wanderers through tales of the notorious inmates at the infamous Duke Street Prison to Glasgow's foundations as a city built on the back of slavery.

Walking Tours founder Jenny and Liv told  Glasgow Live:  "The tour is called Glasgow: The Dark Side and whilst it's Halloween-y, we'll also learn about the slave trade and infamous dark Glasgow figures."

Jenny added that the popular tour sold out last year.

Glasgow Walking Tours will be adhering to Government guidelines to six people and two households per group. The tour is conducted entirely outside in the fresh air, there will be no contact between the tour guide and groups and walkers will be required to maintain a social distance throughout the tour. Masks are optional.

The tours are around one-and-a-half hours long and take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between October 23rd and November 1st.

The tours will leave from Glasgow Cathedral at 7pm.

Tickets are priced from £30 and you can get them here.
