We can't believe that the autumn fun of Halloween, Bonfire Night and more is almost upon us, and we'll be back out picking pumpkins before the kids set off trick or treating.

Some of them you have to pre-book, but others you can just turn up.
Keep in mind you may need to check with the individual venues to find out opening times and up-to-date information on activities and the like.

Forage Farm, Cowbridge

A great day out for all the family in the Vale of Glamorgan, with lots to do, including a maize maze, tractor rides, a range of food vendors, face painting, crafts and animals to see.
The Halloween fun starts on Saturday, October 23 and runs until Halloween.

Matthews Pumpkin Patch, Aberbran Fawr, Brecon
The farm has had PYO strawberries all summer, now it's pumpkin time.
It's free entry so you just pick your wheelbarrow up and off you go.

Vale Pick Your Own, Vale of Glamorgan
At Greenland Farm they are planning on opening in October during half term and on the weekends.
They 'll be open from October 8 until the 31st, on select days.
And this year they have Twilight Pumpkin Picking, spooky! And there's the crow maze and the 25 acres will have loads of varieties, from white mini Casper pumpkins to pink Porcelain Dolls.

Powell's Farms, Radnorshire
It's Powell's Pumpkin Patch's second year of welcoming pickers and again they have multiple varieties of pumpkins and a spooky barn for spooky activities .
You'll have to prebook and all activities will be subject to Covid-19 safety guidelines. Picking runs from October 9.

Bellis Farm, Wrexham
As well as picking out your pumpkins you can enjoy a spooky maze at this Wrexham farm.
The farm is working to make the Halloween events as Covid-secure as possible.
Opening times are 10-5pm on weekends throughout October and they will open every day from Monday, October 25 to Sunday, October 31.

Pumpkin Picking Patch, Cardiff and Porthcawl

These 20-acre (Cardiff) and eight-acre (Porthcawl) farms are free to park up and enter and then you pay per pumpkin depending on its size.
There's also a spooky maze at the sites.
They are both opening on October weekends from the 9th and then over half term from Friday, October 22.

Pencoed Fach Farm, Blackwood
This organic farm in the Caerphilly borough is already getting their pumpkins ready. There'll be loads in the field and some pre-picked from the polytunnels.
Treat yourself to their fresh milkshakes, too!
The fun starts at Pencoed from October 15.

Gower Halloween at Poundffald Farm
Usually the sunflower picking farm and the Christmas tree farm, this Gower farm is providing some pumpkin Halloween fun this year after last year's break.
There'll be activities as well as the picking.

Rosedew Farm, Vale of Glamorgan
This gorgeous wedding venue and working farm are bringing the spooky this October half term as you can pick your own pumpkins, sweetcorn and there will be Halloween activities.
They have announced the pumpkin picking will take place from Saturday, October 23 until Sunday October 31.

Clearwell Farm

Clearwell Farm, between Cardiff and Newport, runs seasonal activities all year round, which you can read more about here including pumpkin picking.
Although they have not announced any details about their pumpkin picking this year they have said it will be happening.

Windsor Farm and Pumpkin Patch
This farm in Lamphey, Pembrokeshire, is opening its gates to pumpkin picking again for the third year running.
They say this their best crop yet and there are over 12 varieties of pumpkins to pick from and the farm will be open most weekends in October.

Pembrokeshire Pumpkins
You'll definitely need wellies for this patch near Trefaes Ganol, who have polar bear and munchkin pumpkins! There's also a pumpkin barn with Halloween grotto, a spooky trail and a woodland play area.
