Hallmark Channel battles coronavirus pandemic with Christmas movie marathon

The Hallmark Channel has found a way to combat the coronavirus pandemic - with Christmas movies!

The network has unveiled a Christmas film marathon for audiences to escape into as the worldwide health crisis continues.

The special weekend marathon is entitled We Need a Little Christmas and began at 12pm today.

The festive movie extravaganza will come to a close on Sunday at 8pm.

Hallmark noted in a press release: "Countdown to Christmas movies starring fan favourites Candace Cameron Bure, Lacey Chabert, Holly Robinson Peete, Danica McKellar, Chad Michael Murray, Ryan Paevey and more will let viewers cosy-up at home and watch the movies they asked for."
