Halle Bailey granted restraining order against ex-partner rapper DDG

Halle Bailey has been granted a restraining order by a Los Angeles judge against her ex-boyfriend DDG.

The rapper, 27, and The Little Mermaid actress, 25, split six months ago, and share one-year-old Halo, but Bailey claims he has been “physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive” in court documents requesting the order.

“I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse,” she also said.

The judge ordered DDG, real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr, to stay 100 yards away from Bailey and their son until a June 6 hearing, and to stop posting or streaming about her and their child online.

In her filing, Bailey included photos of a chipped tooth and bruises on her arm, which she says she got in an incident with DDG in January, as she tried to strap their baby into a seat inside his car.

Bailey alleges he called her a “bitch”, and said in the court documents: “The next thing I knew, things got physical between us.

“We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain.”

She also alleges he entered her home without permission in March, and text a photo of her bed with the message “now I know what u been on lol”.

Bailey also filed a police report after DDG allegedly smashed her Ring camera following a confrontation where she said she didn’t want to send Halo - who was ill - on a visit with him. She then claims he took her phone as he got into his car.

She also requested for DDG to stop “bad mouthing” her on his streaming platforms on Twitch (where he has 980k followers) and YouTube (over 3million subscribers).

“He claims I am withholding our son and that I am with other men,” she said in the documents.

“As a result, I then receive threats and hate on social media.”

The London Standard has contacted a representative of DDG for comment.
