Hall’s of Scotland spark food fight with haggis, chips and cheese roll

A Scottish food firm has divided opinions online after sharing a photo of a haggis, chips and cheese roll on social media.

Hall’s of Scotland uploaded the picture of the Scottish concoction to their Facebook page with the message: “Haggis, chips, cheese? Cannae go wrong!”

The post, showing a Scottish morning roll filled with Hall’s of Scotland haggis , chips and melted cheese, tickled some Scottish taste buds whilst turning off others.

The calorific snack quickly started a debate amongst punters.

Karen Bill Fleming showed her appreciation with a simple: “O YES” whilst Màrtainn Lynch disagreed. She wrote: “Nutritious and delicious heart attack in a roll lol.”

Kenny Daly added: “Obesity, poor diet, diabetes = , chips and cheese. Will that be a diet Irn-Bru with that...”

Others were more welcoming of the new idea dreamed up by the traditional Prestwick-based meat firm.

Eileen Lepick wrote: “I think I could actually eat this” and Alan Crabbe added: “ Let’s get right in about it then.”

Self-declared deep fry expert Dazza added: “A need tae fry this.”

The haggis, chips and cheese roll is the latest in the firm’s tantalising creations posted to social media after their square sausage in pies bap and Square and spicy onions roll ideas.
