She sang a powerful rendition of This is Me from The Greatest Showman and had the audience on its feet.
But in the tough arena that is The Voice, Halimah was on Monday night not taken through to the next step, as her coach, British superstar Rita Ora, reluctantly let her go.

Ora could only take two of her five team members through to the semi-finals of the singing competition.
She chose girl-group GNat!on and 16-year-old Sian Fuller, who will join her older brother Jordan in the semi-finals. Nineteen-year-old Jordan remains on the team of Guy Sebastian, still in the running for the prize of $100,000 and a recording contract.

Ora said she was incredibly proud of Halimah, a 31-year-old musical theatre veteran from Canberra and older sister of tennis champ Nick Kyrgios.
"I have so much respect for you, so much admiration for you in so many different ways," Ora said.
"Your voice is so strong and so persistent. I'm thinking in my mind, 'What can I give you, now that you've had this amazing moment? How can I coach you to potentially winning this show?'
"Because I know as a musical director watching at home, I will give you a lead role in a heartbeat. But that's honestly where I see your future and I feel like your career's just taking off. And with that in mind, I'm going to have to let you go."
Before the performance, Halimah was pleased with the song Ora had chosen for her. This is Me was "belty" and a nod to her musical theatre background.
"I know this song really well and I can relate to it on a lot of levels," Halimah said.

Guy Sebastian called her "Hali-mama" after her show-stopping performance.
"I was just blown away by the power that you have. I mean, vocally, you are great. I loved the moves. You just kind of went for it," he said.
Sebastian applauded Halimah's "courage".
"There is an elephant in the room whenever there's a famous sibling or someone who has been used to getting attention and then sometimes you are sitting there going 'I've got things I want to do as well'.
"And you did it. You did it during that performance."
Halimah said she learnt so much from The Voice about who she wanted to be as an artist.
"There's always the MT [musical theatre] girl, right? But who am I? so that's something I'm still striving to," she said.
