Halifax Town boss Pete Wild makes prediction about Notts County

Pete Wild is convinced Halifax Town will bounce back from defeat to Yeovil at Notts County and is prepared for what Magpies boss Neal Ardley “will bring”.

The Shaymen were beaten 2-0 by Yeovil last weekend, but it has failed to take the gloss off what has been an impressive start to the campaign.

Halifax are already proving themselves to be promotion contenders despite having one of the lowest budgets in the National League.

Wild managed against Notts last season when in charge of Oldham and is certain he knows what to expect of the Magpies when the two clubs go head to head.

“One hundred percent we’ll bounce back,” he said.

“We’ll get back on the horse.

“We’ll work hard all week to make sure we’re ready for Notts County and we’ll make Yeovil a one off. It’ll be a similar test.

“I played both sides last year. I know what Neal Ardley’s teams bring. They’ve got some good players there. I’m sure they’ll get a run going soon, so we’ve got to be ready.”

Halifax have added to their squad in time for tomorrow’s visit after swooping for Charlie Cooper who is expected to make his debut.

The son of former Notts boss, Mark, has arrived from Forest Green Rovers and will go straight into their squad for the trip to Meadow Lane.
