Halftime: Here we go again

Georgia and Kentucky are currently tied at 0-0 at halftime from Sanford Stadium.

You heard that correctly.

Georgia, which is still considered one of the best teams in the country even after its embarrassing loss to South Carolina last week, is tied with KENTUCKY at halftime of a home game under the lights.

I don’t even know what to write at this point.

The defense looks amazing, having allowed 52 total yards and zero passing yards. ZERO PASSING YARDS.

Yet, Georgias is still tied.

Blame offensive coordinator James Coley? Put it on Kirby Smart? Maybe on Jake Fromm?

I’d put it on Smart, but that’s because he hired Coley. So really I’d put it on both of them.

“It’s raining,” is an excuse for Georgia’s play calls that I’ve seen on Twitter so far. So? Is that supposed to justify Georgia being tied with Kentucky?

These dudes are going to be in the NFL in the next few years. I don’t think rain is that big of a deal. Just play football, and call plays to put your players in the best situation to succeed.

Jake Fromm has completed 8 of 11 passes this game. Pretty good. Until you look again and see that those 8 completions have gone for a combined 28 yards. That’s 3.5 yards per completion. Yikes.

That’s not solely on Fromm, though. He’s had plenty of time to throw the ball, but nobody has been open. I guess that one falls back on Coley.

It’s been ugly, and it was terribly ugly last week. Please don’t do this again, Georgia.

At least the defense came to play.
