Interested people are invited to join the "12 August Half Marathon Bangkok 2026 (Run For Mom 2026)", which will take place at Benjakitti Park, Ratchadaphisek Road, on Aug 12.
Held in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, by NCC Management & Development, this is the 31st edition of the annual race hailed as one of the country's longest-running events dedicated to mothers and to promoting physical activity, healthy living and quality family time.
This year's race marks a major milestone as it elevates its standards to the international level. The half marathon course has received official certification from the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races and World Athletics.
Also, it will become a carbon neutral event for the first time, with efforts focused on reducing and offsetting greenhouse gas emissions generated by event activities. A real-time carbon footprint dashboard will be displayed throughout the event, allowing participants to better understand their environmental impact and become part of a collective effort towards a more sustainable future.
The race has four categories for runners of all levels -- the 21.1km half marathon, 10km mini marathon, 6km fun run and 1.8km family walk and run -- all taking place within and around Benjakitti Park.
The highlight of the half marathon remains its iconic route across six bridges in the heart of Bangkok, offering runners a unique urban racing experience. Participants in the 10km and 6km categories will run along parts of this celebrated route, while the 1.8km family walk and run continues to offer families an opportunity to create memorable moments together, accompanied by special appearances from GMMTV artists.
Every participant will receive a jasmine plant as a commemorative gift. Proceeds after expenses will be donated to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation at Chulalongkorn Hospital.
Registrations should be made via race.thai.run/12aughalfmarathon2026 by July 15.
