Hakim Ziyech reacts on Instagram as Chelsea set up Man United FA Cup semi-final tie

Hakim Ziyech officially joins Chelsea this week.

The attacking midfielder's £33.4m transfer from Ajax was agreed shortly after the January window had closed and his contract at Stamford Bridge comes into effect from July 1.

Until then, the Morocco international will be cheering on his new teammates from home - just like he did when the Blues returned to Premier League action last weekend and once again on Sunday afternoon.

Frank Lampard praises the importance of Ross Barkley at Chelsea

Chelsea travelled to the King Power Stadium for an all-Premier League FA Cup quarter-final tie against Leicester City and emerged victorious thanks to Ross Barkley's second-half goal.

The result has set up a semi-final tie against Manchester United at Wembley next month.

Such was the importance of the victory that striker Tammy Abraham - who had a goal ruled out for offside - took to Instagram to share a message with supporters.

His post was seen by Ziyech who reacted by replying with a clapping emoji, giving Abraham and co his seal of approval.

Ahead of Ziyech's arrival in west London, head coach Frank Lampard have been handed a warning by Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.

"Hakim is 'what you see is what you get'. You see what his emotions are doing to him today,” Ten Hag told Ajax TV on Ziyech's final day of training. "He said 'I am not a man of club love, but at Ajax it is different'.

"It is an emotional day for Hakim, but [I hope] he looks back on it in a good way.

"He comes in as a big man at Chelsea, a top club in Europe. That is the example for the younger players here. First become the best here, win titles and then take the step.

"He is a character, headstrong. But that also makes him brilliant.

"He sees things that others don't see. Sometimes he is a trainer's nightmare, but you have to give him space.

"If they start playing on their responsibility, you see the development. He took Ajax by the hand and we were very successful together."
