Here is your Chelsea morning digest on Sunday, January 3.
Jenas leaves Havertz out
Jermaine Jenas has left Kai Havertz out of Chelsea's best possible midfield for this weekend's Premier League clash with Manchester City.
Havertz has had a slow start to life with the Blues since signing for £71million in the summer as he continues to settle into life in England.
Frank Lampard has often picked the midfield trio of N'Golo Kante, Mason Mount and either Jorginho or Mateo Kovacic this season.
However, Havertz is available for selection for Sunday's crunch match against Man City, but Jenas wouldn't select him in his line-up.
“Going into this game against Manchester City, I believe his (Lampard's) best midfield is Kante, Kovacic and Mason Mount. So, where does Havertz come into that then?” Jenas told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport.
Jorginho's agent provides update on future
Jorginho is currently happy to stay at Chelsea, but a return to Italy is an option in the future, his agent has admitted.
The Italian midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the Blues recently, particularly over the summer transfer window.
However, Jorginho has played plenty of football under Lampard so far this term and his decision to stay and fight for his place looks to have paid off.
His agent, Joao Santos, told the Mirror : "It was a great year for Jorge, he did very well in the national team as well. Next year there will be the European Championship, where he hopes to do very well with Italy.
"As for Chelsea, they are not very well-placed in the table now, but being a young team, it takes time. Jorge is a Chelsea player and he is very happy there, but I wouldn't rule out a return to Italy in future."

Ziyech returns to training
Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech is back in full training ahead of this afternoon's match against Manchester City.
Ziyech has been out through injury since the beginning of December after coming off against Leeds United.
The Blues have suffered a dip in form since the Moroccan picked up the injury, but he could return to Lampard's squad today.
Also taking part in the training session were two of Chelsea's most promising youth stars - Lewis Bate and Henry Lawrence.
