Hakim Ziyech names how he will prove people wrong in debut Premier League season for Chelsea

Hakim Ziyech insists that he is ready to deal with the physical side of the Premier League for Chelsea next season.

The 27-year-old made the switch from Ajax in February and has finally made the move to the Blues this month.

Ziyech has been training on his own at Cobham since Saturday as he starts his pre-season ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

And the Moroccan was also in attendance at Stamford Bridge yesterday to watch the 1-0 win over Norwich City, before meeting his new teammates.

Ziyech will have to wait to finally play for the Blues and he is ready to deal with the physical challenge of English football.

“They always told me that the Premier League is a tough competition. I know it is," he told the Chelsea website.

"People said physically I was not ready, but if you look at the competition and players who have the same body as me.

"Football is just playing with your head and be smart and creating spaces. Be always in the small things.”

Ziyech has been known for his creative style at Ajax, having provided 12 assists last season and another 13 the season before.

And the Moroccan is ready to bring that style to west London when he gets the chance to play.

"I would love to bring with myself what I have played in the last two or three years with Ajax, just keeping the same style and hopefully they will enjoy it," he added.

"Of course, to help the team as much as possible.”
