Chelsea must learn from the frustration of conceding a late goal against Southampton - and learn fast.
That is the verdict of Hakim Ziyech, who insisted that the Blues cannot let that happen.
Frank Lampard's men looked to be cruising towards three points after Timo Werner's first half double, but Danny Ings pulled a goal back just before half time at Stamford Bridge.
Che Adams then equalised for Southampton early in the second half, before Kai Havertz scored his first goal for Chelsea to put the Blues back in front.
However, Lampard's men were pegged back in injury time as Southampton defender Jannik Vestergaard stooped to turn in Theo Walcott's cross-cum-shot to earn Saints a point.
It was a frustrating ending to the game for Chelsea and Ziyech gave an honest assessment after the match, while also issuing a warning for his team-mates after conceding such a late goal.
"Of course it will take time, but we also don't have time, because the games are coming really quick, so we have to learn quickly," he said in an interview with the club website after making his debut.
"This is a moment we can learn from, but it can't happen in the last minute."
However, there were positive signs for Chelsea from the game, with Timo Werner netting his first two goals in the Premier League and fellow summer signing Kai Havertz also getting on the scoresheet for the first time.
On top of that, Ziyech got his first minutes in the Premier League for Chelsea, and the Moroccan international has said that there were positive signs for Chelsea going forward.
"I have been out for a couple of weeks, but I have been back training in the last couple of weeks and you can feel there is something. It just takes time to let it work, and I have all the trust that it will work."
Chelsea now turn their attention towards the Champions League, with the Blues set to welcome Spanish side Sevilla to Stamford Bridge tomorrow night as the group stage of the competition begins.
