Hakeem Odoffin 'eyed' for Hibs transfer as they miss out on Jackson Irvine

HIbs are set to make a move for Hakeem Odoffin after missing out on Jackson Irvine, according to a report.

The Australian midfielder joined St Pauli after he knocked back an offer to stay at Easter Road.

And now Hibs want to sign Hamilton’s Odoffin as his replacement after he impressed at New Douglas Park last season.

The Daily Record say Jack Ross’ men will look to agree a fee to take the 23-year-old to the capital.

He only joined Hamilton from Livingston last summer and initially started as a right back before being moved into a midfield role where he excelled.

Hibs aren’t the only team interested in him with English outfit Rotherham also looking to take him down south.

Hibs have also signed Jake Doyle-Hayes from St Mirren as part of their attempts to strengthen ahead of the Europa Conference League.

They’ve also signed Daniel Mackay from Inverness Caley Thistle while Jamie Murphy completed a permanent move from Rangers.

Speaking about his move to St Pauli, Irvine said: “I’m delighted to be here. The club and its values are a perfect fit for me. The way St. Pauli play football suits me, too.

“I can’t wait to meet my teammates now and get started.”
