Hakeem Butler wants you to know how fast he is

The Arizona Cardinals added some speed to their offense in the NFL draft. They added quarterback Kyler Murray. While he didn’t run the 40 in predraft work, there have been multiple references to having 4.3 speed. They drafted receiver Andy Isabella, who ran a bona fide 4.31-second 40-yard dash.

They also added receiver Hakeem Butler, who has a rare size/speed combo. His official 40 time at the NFL combine was 4.48 but he has run it faster and wants you to know about it.

“One team clocked me like at a 4.35,” he said at his introductory press conference. “Make sure you get that out there.”

Obviously, it was an unofficial time, but it was clocked by an NFL team, so they might have used it.

If he truly can run the 40 in under 4.4 seconds, maybe there should be a rookie race between him, Isabella and Murray.

Who would win that race?

Butler likely would not but it would be fun to see.
