The Hajj pilgrims kicked off on Sunday the second day of al-Tashreeq, where they will carry out the ritual stoning of the devil.
The pilgrims had already collected the three small, medium and large stone amid heavy health and security precautions and social distancing measures to ensure their safety amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The first day of the stoning of the devil was held on Saturday.
The Saudi Press Agency documented how the pilgrims were organized and gradually allowed access to the Jamaraat Bridge in Mina for the symbolic stoning. Stickers designating the safe social distance have been placed on the ground for the pilgrims.
Following the ritual, the pilgrims will head to their accommodations in Mina ahead of departing for Makkah where they will perform the final “farewell” tawaf, or circumambulation of the holy Kaaba.
