Hairy Biker Dave Myers says he is 'doing alright' in health update after cancer diagnosis

Hairy Biker Dave Myers has given a health update, saying he feels 'alright'. It comes after the TV star appeared on BBC Breakfast where he was interviewed by Sally Nugent and Jon Kay.

To start the chat, Sally jumped right in and asked Dave: "I'm gonna ask you first of all how you are because you've been poorly recently." The presenter and cook replied: "Yes, I have."

The Echo reports the Hairy Biker opened up about his health. He added: "I have been having treatment for cancer. It is still ongoing but I am kind of doing alright and, you know, it's like many people, it is something that one learns to live with.

"But I'm delighted my hair... it's thicker hair than before I had the chemo." The 65-year-old is currently looking to the future. He said: "This year I don't know, I think I might get back to filming.

"You know the good old BBC has been brilliant with us. They have followed us, 'How you doing?' and stuff but it will have to fit in with treatment. So more buts, more work hopefully and more sitting on your sofa."

Dave announced the news in May while on podcast The Hairy Bikers: Agony Uncles… A Right Pair of Aunts. He said at the time that he wanted to discuss it publicly because he didn’t want to “hide under a rock”. He has chosen not to publicly reveal the type of cancer he has but previously said he was undergoing chemotherapy.
