Firefighters were called to East Kilbride's Hairmyres Hospital after reports of a late night blaze.
Three fire engines rushed to the scene having being alerted at around 10pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service this morning confirmed to Glasgow Live they have been stood down from the incident and the source of the fire remains unclear.
There are no reports of any injuries after a fire was reported on the first floor of the hospital buidling.
Police were also called to Hairmyres to cordon off an area around the hospital during the incident.
An SFRS spokesperson confirmed: "We received an alert around 9.45pm and operations control mobilised three appliances.
"We are no longer in attendance".
Local SNP councillor Jordan Linden commented on Twitter: “Understand there are reports of a fire at Lanarkshire University Hospital Hairmyres.
“Our thanks as ever to the Emergency Services who will be responding to this incident and our thoughts to all Staff and Patients at this time.”
