Hairdresser reveals we've been using dry shampoo wrong all this time

Dry shampoo is a staple in every woman's beauty routine to bust grease and keep hair looking voluminous.

However, sometimes the key product - which is supposed to make hair look clean and fresh between washes - just doesn't work the way we want it to.

Now a hairdresser has explained how we are using dry shampoo wrong - and revealed her secret tips on how to get the best out of the product.

The hair expert took to Tik Tok to explain what she believes is the correct way to use it, which is bound to be a game changer in your beauty routine.

Posting on the account @corascamera, she said: "So you’re probably using dry shampoo wrong and I’m going to show you how to use it right."

She begins by spraying the product "very generously" all over her hair at the roots.

Instead of immediately rubbing the dry shampoo in, the hairdresser leaves it to sit on the hair for "five or ten minutes" without touching it.

She encourages women to leave it in their hair while doing their make-up.

Then she rubs it into the scalp with her fingers, making sure to spread it through her hair evenly.

After that, she takes a hair brush and works it through her hair vigorously.

To finish, she follows all of this up with a spritz of dry conditioner.

She adds: "And this goes against everything that I've learned but my favourite dry shampoo in the world is Dove.

"Not their shampoo and conditioner, dry shampoo. But keep that between us."

Thousands of people have liked, shared and commented on the video.

One said what we're all thinking: "I didn't even know that dry conditioner existed lmao."

A third wrote: "This is super helpful."

Someone else responded: "Okay this is actually helpful cause I just spray it in on my roots and in some spots and then brush it and it like gets greasier."
