Hairdresser claims we've been using dry shampoo wrong this whole time

We’ve all used dry shampoo as part of our beauty regimes for a while now, but sometimes it just doesn’t go the way we want it to.

Well, according to one hairdresser we’ve been using it wrong this whole time anyway.

Hairdresser Cora took to TikTik to share a video on what she claims is the “correct” way to use dry shampoo, if you want your hair to look its absolute best, reports the Mirror.

Posting on the account @corascamera, she said: "So you’re probably using dry shampoo wrong and I’m going to show you how to use it right."

Cora begins spraying the product “very generously” at her roots, which sounds just like what we’d normally do, except there’s one big difference.

Instead of immediately rubbing the dry shampoo in, Cora leaves it to sit for “five or ten minutes”.

She encourages users to leave it in their hair while doing their makeup.

Then Cora rubs in the dry shampoo, making sure to spread it through evenly, before brushing it through.

To finish, she follows all of this up with a dry conditioner.

She adds: "And this goes against everything that I've learned but my favourite dry shampoo in the world is Dove.

"Not their shampoo and conditioner, dry shampoo. But keep that between us."

The video has been a hit on TikTok, gaining thousands of likes, shares and comments.

One person said: “I didn't even know that dry conditioner existed.”

Another said: "Sis out here saving lives."

A third added: "This is super helpful."

And, someone else said: "Okay this is actually helpful cause I just spray it in on my roots and in some spots and then brush it and it like gets greasier."
