Hair-raising footage shows lockdown rule breakers scaling high buildings in Edinburgh city centre

Hair-raising footage has emerged showing lockdown rule breakers scaling tall buildings and hanging off the back of buses in Edinburgh's city centre.

Adam Szania, an Instagram and Tik-Tok star, appears to have travelled to the Scottish capital from England despite strict travel rules being in place to halt the spread of coronavirus.

As reported by the Daily Record, Adam and pals can be seen putting their lives on the line by carrying out a number of reckless stunts.

Edinburgh's Princes Street and Scott Monument feature in one video where he and one other person can be seen surfing on the back of a bus, while in other shots he can be seen climbing buildings or cranes and overlooking Edinburgh Castle and the city centre.

Despite £60 fines currently enforceable to anyone breaking travel rules, the Record report the videos appear to have been shot in recent days.

The footage, which is on Instagram, is captioned '2021' and Szania can be seen documenting his Scottish "road trip".

He's become well known for his death-defying antics, and is now believed to be in another part of the UK.

Edinburgh, and the rest of Scotland, is currently under strict lockdown restrictions with people urged to stay at home to help save lives.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon today brought in six new rules with changes to click and collect services, alterations to takeaway rules, a ban on the drinking of alcohol outdoors in public, an obligation for employers to help people work from home, new rules around working inside people's houses and a strengthened 'stay at home' message.
