Hailey Bieber was 'crying' down phone to mum over tough marriage to Justin

Hailey Bieber has opened up about the moment she was sobbing to her mum down the phone about the state of her marriage with pop star husband Justin.

The 24-year-old model candidly recalled saying she "just can't do it" anymore during a tough point in their relationship.

Speaking on podcast In Good Faith with Chelsea & Judah Smith, she explained that she called her mum Kennya Baldwin while she was upset.

She said: "I remember I called her a few different times, one particular time when we were in Brooklyn and I was calling her, I was crying, and I was like, 'I just can't do it. There's no way that I'm going to be able to do this if it's going to be like this forever.'"

However, Hailey revealed that her mum - who has been married to dad Stephen Baldwin for over 30 years - stayed calm and insisted that the difficult phase would pass.

She said: "And I just remember she was so calm on the phone and she was like, 'It's going to pass, and you're going to be fine and he's going to be healthy and we're here for you.'"

The model went on to say that she didn't feel as though she would have been able to get over the rough patch if it weren't for the support of her family.

"And I do feel like we just had a lot of support," she continued. "I feel like if I didn't have support, it would've been 10 times harder, and it was already the hardest thing in my life at the time."

Yet Hailey has said that she is glad she stuck by Justin, explaining: "I was in it. I made a decision. I know for a fact that I've loved this person for a very long time and now would not be the time to give up on him. I just wouldn't do that to him.

"Imagine abandoning somebody in the middle of the worst time of their life, potentially. I'm not that type of a person. So I was going to stick it out no matter what the outcome was going to be."

Justin previously spoke about his mental health struggle during the lead up to their wedding in 2018.

"I had experienced so many things in my life," he said. "So many milestones and traveled the world and seen everywhere in the world. And I just got to a place where I was lonely, and I just didn't want to do it all alone."
