The midriff-baring outfit Hailey Bieber wore to meet French President Emmanuel Macron was branded "inappropriate" by fans.
Hailey and her husband Justin Bieber were invited to meet Macron and his wife, Brigitte, at the Élysée Palace in Paris.
The model wore a brown cut-out and ab-baring dress designed by LaQuan Smith for the meeting, but some fans were not impressed with her choice of attire.
Justin, meanwhile, chose to wear a striped suit, striped shirt, a large necklace as well as casual blue and white Nike trainers.
He took to his Instagram to share a photo of the four posing together but fans quickly took to the comment section as well as Twitter to share their thoughts.
"Wifey’s pretty and all but should have dressed for the occasion," one concerned user wrote.
Another simply wrote: "Hailey Bieber" along with a facepalm emoji.
"i love you Hailey but ….. girl that outfit," one user said, while one fan wrote: "Uh oh this is not appropriate."
A user on Twitter loved the outfit but had some concerns: "I love Hailey Bieber’s style & this look is [fire emoji] hawt but am I the only one who thinks it’s a bit inappropriate for a state affair of meeting French President Emmanuel Macron & his wife?"
One person chimed in: "Glam? I find her dress was inappropriate and him wearing sneakers with a suit to meet a prime minister?!? - do better. Y’all have stylists!"
The meeting took place on the Fête de la musique, also known as Music Day, an annual day celebrating music in France which takes place on June 21.
Their meeting with the French President comes after the stunning couple were seen strolling the streets of Paris in the last few days.
The pair looked carefree after they were seen leaving clothing and footwear store KITH in the city on Monday.
Justin and Hailey have been in an on-and-off relationship for many years but finally chose to get married in September 2018.
She recently admitted that she struggled during the beginning of their marriage as she felt like 'everybody's up my a**'.
"At the beginning of our marriage, I just wanted to hide. I was like, ‘I don’t want people so in my business. I feel like everybody’s up my a**,'" she explained.
“I was like, ‘Can there be no anonymity? Can I have any of it back?’”
She continued to Elle : “I remember someone telling me that [turning off the public comments] really lowers your engagement.
“And I was like, ‘I could give a f**k about engagement! People are terrorizing me. Engagement, enschagement. I don’t care!’’
