Hailey Bieber accused of secretly mocking Selena Gomez under fans' noses for months

Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have allegedly been embroiled in a toxic feud for years - but now it appears to have come to a very messy head.

The singer famously dated Justin Bieber throughout the early 2010s, but they split up and he married to Stephen Baldwin's daughter back in 2018.

Selena and Hailey have regularly been accused of throwing shade at each other, but they tried to put feud rumours to bed last October when they publicly posed for pictures together.

However, they have both been caught in a new storm which began with claims that Kylie Jenner 'mocked' Gomez' eyebrows, something which the reality TV star denies.

From there things have spiralled out of control, with Selena taking a break from social media and defending "best friend" Taylor Swift after old footage came to light of her being mocked by Hailey.

Now in the latest twist, Hailey has been accused of deliberately 'mocking' Selena under fans' noses for months.

A conspiracy theory has blown up on social media in which its claimed that Bieber has been 'copying' Gomez with her videos.

In a TikTok video posted by @protectselgomez, they share clips of both women and compare the striking similarities.

The most convincing is footage from Gomez's 2020 cooking show Selena + Chef and Bieber's 2022 YouTube series 'What's In My Kitchen?'.

Captioned "Did Hailey Bieber really think no one would notice?", the TikToker points out in the video that Bieber has got her grandma involved, just like Gomez did.

"This recipe is one of my favourite childhood dishes and Nana and I thought it would be fun to share it with you," says Selena in her video, before asking her grandma what they're making.

While in Hailey's, she starts by introducing her grandmother then asks her which dish they will be cooking up.

Next, Selena gives a tour and explains: "This is my real home, everything that we're doing is at home, this is my amazing kitchen, which is the set."

Hailey then does exactly the same, stating: "Yes, we actually are in my real kitchen, in my real house. This is not a set. This is where I really live."

Even the intros are strangely similar, with Gomez picking up and adjusting her camera, while Bieber does exactly the same thing.

Some viewers were shocked in the comment section, with one posting: "This is actually scary."

While another added: "I thought everybody was reaching and these were all coincidences but I see a new 'coincidence' every hour."

"Omg it's never ending!! It keeps getting weirder!!!," claimed a third.

Others have defended Bieber and suggested she was just following a script, with one writing: "What am I missing? This looks exactly like every cooking show and/or TV talk show."

But there is more compelling evidence, with another viral video from TikTok user @hai.lie.bald comparing two of their interviews which both reference the same thing.

In one clip, Selena says: "Somebody asked me a while ago, 'what's the one thing you wish people knew about you' and I said 'I wanted it to be my heart'."

While in her version, Hailey explains: "They didn’t know who I was, they didn't know Hailey for Hailey. And I just always had this constant battle where I was saying, 'I wish people just knew my heart.'"

Then we get to the eyebrow row, with Jenner and Bieber accused of deliberately 'mocking' Gomez after she posted a TikTok story in which she joked she had "accidentally laminated [her] brows too much".

After Selena's post, Kylie shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of her eyebrows, writing: "This was an accident ?????"

The Kardashian's half-sister then uploaded a screenshot from a FaceTime call she had with Hailey, where the pair had both zoomed in on their eyebrows.

Many people claimed Kylie and Hailey were taking the mick out of Selena - something which everyone involved has denied.

Kylie responded to one of the conspiracy videos, commenting: "This is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts. You guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly."

Selena agreed, adding: "It's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie's."

And sharing a further clip to her Stories, Selena went on to say: "I'm gonna be taking a second from social media cause this is a little silly and I'm 30. I'm too old for this."

In her seemingly final Instagram post for the foreseeable, Selena shared a snap of her sipping a cocktail. She captioned the post: "I deleted this one time because I thought maybe it was too much but eh (taking a break from social)."

Fans and friends were quick to praise the star including pal Nicola Peltz-Beckham, who wrote: "UMMM GIVE THE FANS WHAT WE WANT. MOST STUNNING GIRL EVER!"

Justin has since been dragged into the drama over special party favours he gave out to guests at his recent birthday party.

The Baby singer gifted his loved ones lighters with the words: "I'm so thankful that I didn't end up with what I thought I wanted."

It sparked an immediate response on Twitter, with some speculating that that the phrase was a dig at ex-girlfriend Selena.

"Pretty childish ..29 going on 14 .. jeez," one person wrote.

Another said: "This is so petty, I mean if that's the way you and your wife feel keep that petty sht to yourself lol and please, you don’t have to mention somebody's name or say 'who' to understand exactly what they talkin abt."

But other people jumped to Justin's defence, with one explaining: "I adore selena but this is a reach. the lighter refers to the fact that he’s thankful he stayed alive and made it this far to reach 29."

Earlier this month, Selena urged her fans to "be kinder" as she broke her silence to address the alleged feud between her and Hailey.

In her first TikTok video since the feud rumours started circulating, Selena admitted her "heart has been heavy" and said people need to consider the mental health of others.

Selena took to social media on Sunday to share a new makeup tutorial and seemed to address the feud speculation in the comments section.

"Please, please be kinder and consider others' mental health," she said. "My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone. All my love."

In another, Selena told fans: "Thank you and love you all so much, I'm deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy."
