The scenes from Coors Field on Thursday prior to the Rockies hosting the NL West rival Dodgers were simply incredible.
A massive hail storm created images of a winter wonderland in June as thick chunks of ice covered the field, dugouts and seats.
Colorado catcher Elias Díaz took full advantage of the weather by creating a ‘hail angel’, replicating the iconic creations of snow angels normally reserved for the winter months in Denver.

The storm dropped more than two feet of hail inside the Rockies home dugout. In now viral videos, the hail is seen stacked up to the handles of the clubhouse doors, blocking passage.

With the infield and outfield covered in ice, the Rockies delayed the game initially before announcing that first pitch would come at 10:30 p.m. ET.
