As a Gen Z, I had a criticism of CJP: they are dumbing down the whole movement to a single act of demanding a resignation. There is no widespread coverage of the issues because CJP started with satire on online forums, and they left that space completely.
They could have tackled more issues across the country that affect everyone, like unemployment, fundamentalism, ethanol, inflation, and corruption. But they just focused on the hunger strike, and that too is not constructive enough. It’s just asking for a resignation, not reform in education.
I felt it was very easy for the government to dissolve the protest because the demand is very narrow. But the way this government has handled the whole situation is making the movement more widespread. Still, CJP lacks a core idea of what it wants from the government.
P.S. They could have started an online campaign: “Main Bhi Berozgar” from across the country.

The likelihood of this email being read out is very low, as it’s not really a feedback email but just a wind-up email to Abhinandan and football lovers.
The final was one of the most boring games ever!
But you know what it really looked like? An old ’80s masala Hindi movie. There was naach gaana to entertain the gangsters (Trump and Infantino), as well as extended, over-the-top performances that had no place on a football pitch.
But then, for a game of hooligans, played and paid for by hooligans, the hooligans even gave us a nasty brawl to end the World Cup, with two red cards!
Go on, Abhinandan – it’s been a while since the expletives have been let loose. I will take it on the chin like all of us gentlemen who offer tea and biscuits while watching our great game between six wickets.

It was disappointing to hear the latest Hafta, especially the discussion around the CJP protest movement. It was a mix of apathy and a “been there, done that” attitude vis-à-vis the Jan Lokpal movement.
Remember, the kids protesting now were probably toddlers during that time. The on-ground reporters from Newslaundry had much more perspective.
A sound-related feedback: please sound-check the guest speaker in advance. There was a huge difference between the various mic inputs, making the podcast listening experience jarring, as I had to keep adjusting the volume.
