CHANDIGARH: The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) on Wednesday donated Rs 2 crore to the Haryana Chief Minister's Relief Fund set up by the state government to assist various sections of society.
Chairman, HAFED, Kailash Bhagat, managing director of the federation, Sh. A. Sreenivas, presented a cheque of Rs 2 crore to CM Manohar Lal Khattar.
The chairman informed that HAFED, an apex cooperative society has earned a net profit of Rs 153 crore during the financial year 2020-21 and is expected to touch a net profit of Rs 200 crore during the financial year 2021-22, which is the ever-highest profit earned by HAFED.
The turnover of the federation was Rs 16,600 crore during the financial year 2020-21, which is also expected to cross Rs 17,000 crore during the year 2021-22, he added.
He further said that HAFED shall continue to work in the best interest of the farmers of the state.
