Australian centre Paige Hadley has limped off during the Commonwealth Games netball win over South Africa with a leg injury.

Hadley went off during the second term in Monday's 74-49 win and sat on the bench with ice strapped to her lower right leg.

The frontline Diamonds player missed the opening game against Barbados and played limited minutes against Scotland, but started against South Africa.

While Australia were not troubled on Monday, Hadley's injury looms as a significant blow to their Birmingham campaign.

Along with Hadley's importance to the Diamonds, her absence would rob them of an extra rotation through their midfield positions.

Diamonds shooter Greta Bueta led the scoring with 30 goals as they cruised to their third straight win in the Birmingham tournament.

Captain Liz Watson at wing attack was the only Australian to play all 60 minutes.
