Hackney stabbing: Schoolboy, 15, knifed to death and another injured in double stabbing

A teenager has been knifed to death in a double stabbing in north-east London.

The victim, a 15-year-old schoolboy, was found in Somerford Grove, Hackney, suffering stab wounds on Wednesday night.

He was given first aid by police officers before paramedics arrived but he was pronounced dead shortly before 9.50pm.

His next of kin have been informed.

A second teenager, thought to be 16, was found with stab injuries in Shacklewell Road and rushed to hospital.

His injuries have been assessed as not life-threatening.

All of Hackney was placed under a section 60 stop-and-search order following the fatal knife attack.

No arrests have been made.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing just before 9pm.

In statement, Scotland Yard said: "The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.

"As a result of this incident a section 60 has been put in place for the whole of Hackney."

Just hours later, a male was left fighting for his life after being stabbed in a separate incident outside Camden Town station.
