Clapton stabbing: Teen rushed to hospital after being repeatedly knifed on bus in east London

A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after being repeatedly stabbed on a bus in east London.

Police and paramedics were called to Clapton Common in the borough of Hackney shortly before 3pm on Wednesday.

“A youth, believed to be in his mid-teens, was found at the location with stab wounds," a Met Police spokesman said.

“He has been taken to an east London hospital."

The teen was taken as a "priority" to a major trauma centre, a London Ambulance Service spokesman added.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Images posted on social media show paramedics working behind a police cordon and an ambulance and police cars at the scene.

Police said a crime scene was in place, with traffic in the area on diversion.

No arrests have been made.
