Hackney stabbing: Man charged with murder after 22-year-old killed in Clarence Mews

Victim: Exauce Ngimbi was stabbed to death in Clarence Mews, Hackney

A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder after the stabbing of a man in Hackney.

Exauce Ngimbi, 22, was found with stab wounds in Clarence Mews, Hackney, at 2.01pm on Thursday, Scotland Yard said.

He later died from his injuries, despite the efforts of paramedics from London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

Kieran Brown, 26, of Hackney was charged in the early hours of Saturday with murder and possession of a pointed or bladed article.

He will appear in Thames Magistrates’ Court later on Saturday.

A 14-year-old boy, a 23-year-old man and two 26-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Mr Ngimbi’s cousin Calvin Bungisa, 22, was stabbed to death in Kentish Town last April.

Mr Bungisa was ambushed and chased down by masked thugs, who are then believed to have fled in a getaway car.

Any witnesses or anyone with information about the alleged murder is asked to contact phone 020 8345 3865 or call 101 quoting CAD 3931/05Dec19.
