Hackney shooting: Man fighting for life after three males shot in 'drive by'

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after three males were shot in a suspected drive by in Hackney this evening.

Gunshots were heard in the area at roughly 9.45pm and a large police cordon has been put in place at the scene in north London.

The Metropolitan Police say no arrests have been made at this stage.

Officers are appealing for witnesses after three males had to be rushed to hospital following the incident.

One is in a critical condition following the incident near London Fields.

Hackney Police tweeted: "We're dealing with a shooting at around 9.45pm in Middleton Road, E8.

"Three males have been taken to hospital with gunshot injuries; one is in a critical condition, the other two were less seriously injured. No arrest. Witnesses pls call 101 ref 7439/14dec."
