Hacken boss warns Aberdeen he knows all about Scott Brown as he reveals Celtic flying visits

BK Hacken coach Per Mathias-Hogmo knows what to expect from Scott Brown because he was a big fan of Ronny Deila's Celtic

The Norwegian boss admitted that he regularly used to come across to Scotland to visit his friend and fellow countryman Deila.

Brown was Celtic ’s captain through that time and Hogmo saw how important he was for the Hoops and knows he will be just as important for Aberdeen.

Hogmo said: “I like Scott Brown, he is a fantastic player. It is good for Aberdeen to have him.

“He can help the team to a good season. I have also been to Scotland to visit Ronny Deila when he was at Celtic and I was the Norwegian national coach.

“I have followed Scottish football.”

Hogmo is no stranger to Scotland either as he played against St Mirren in Europe and has also managed against the Scotland national team. He is also a big fan of Manchester United and of Dons legend Sir Alex Ferguson.

Hogmo, sitting in the Sir Alex Ferguson Lounge, admitted: “I first travelled to Scotland as a player in 1987 with Tromso.

“We played St Mirren in Europe.

“We lost 1-0 in Scotland and drew 0-0 at home in the UEFA Cup.

“I have also followed Manchester United for a few years I know the history he has with the club. “It is a big tradition and I have also played against them with the national team.”

BK Hacken’s boss Hogmo thinks it will be good to have fans back at Pittodrie and he reckons his team will have the advantage because they are midway through their season.

Hogmo stated: “It is great with the fans back in the stands. “We’ve had them back in Sweden for the last three games and so the atmosphere should be inspiring for both teams.

“The home team will want to show themselves up and I think it will be an interesting game for us. For us, it is important to use our strengths to create chances and to hopefully score goals.”
