Haas F1 team's first Toyota livery divides fans as 2026 car breaks cover

Haas has unveiled its 2026 Formula 1 livery, the first with its new title sponsor, Toyota Gazoo Racing.

The new design follows a similar theme to the American outfit's 2025 livery with a white base and black and red accents. But it now has the addition of the angular GR logo on the front wing and the shark fin.

Fans have been quick to share their thoughts on the new design. "Haas has stepped up their game once again. I absolutely love how it looks," one fan wrote on Reddit, while another added: "That is very nice and clean."

"I love this one, as a bigger rally fan than F1 fan it's awesome to have the GR livery. Very tastefully executed," someone else wrote. "I like it. Definitely an attention getter," added another.

Others were not so keen on the design. "This seems like one of those liveries I like at the beginning but the more I look at it the more indifferent I'll feel about it," one fan wrote, while another commented on Instagram: "Given it's Gazoo Racing sponsoring them, it could've been much better, just look at Toyota's WEC and WRC liveries, HOWEVER Gazoo Racing is just a sponsor, it's not Toyota's team. Still pretty solid livery, like Red Bulls much better still."

Haas heads into 2026 with the same driver line-up as 2025, with Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman under the leadership of team principal Ayao Komatsu.

"It feels almost a bit surreal to be unveiling a new car this early in the year but it’s not any less exciting venturing into a new F1 campaign – especially one with such a change in regulations," Komatsu said.

"We’re fully focused on being ready for Shakedown Week in Barcelona. It’s been a monumental effort from everyone on the team to work with such a tight turnaround time from the end of last season to putting cars on track in January.

"It goes without saying that after so much talk, we can’t wait to see how these cars will perform and what we’ll face as we then progress through our test programs ahead of Australia. Track time is going to be crucial through Spain and Bahrain and while we know there’s going to be challenges along the way, we do this because we’re passionate about Formula 1."
